She was predeceased by: her father Samuel Fontenot; her siblings, Eloi "Peco" Fontenot, Sammy Fontenot and Clevie Fontenot; her grandchild Murphy Trahan; her niece Klaudia Nichols; and her children-in-law, Patricia Trahan and Steve Junot.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Schmeltz, Edward Trahan (Roxanna), Larry Trahan (Jamison), Craig Trahan (Sandy), Troy Trahan, Tracey Junot and Judy Hanks (Ludger); her grandchildren, Jessica Trahan, Jason Trahan, Shawna Thorton (Brandon), Lacey Johnson (Robert), Kevin Hanks, Brooklyn Johnson (Jacob), Seth Schmeltz, Sandy Vincent (Cody) and Lynn Trahan; her brothers, Tommy Nichols (Louise), Jerry Nichols (Belinda) and Wayne Nichols (Charlene); and her sister-in-law Gerry Fontenot. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
