He is survived by: his wife Essie Lynn DeVille Lopez; his children, Rebecca E. Lopez Duke, Rachel C. Lopez and Jesse R. Lopez; his siblings, Henrietta "Mutzie" Lopez, Carolyn Darby, Rosendo "Chendo" Lopez, Ramon Lopez and Ricardo "Ritchie" Lopez; and his pet Kolbi Jak. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Baptist Church (1845 LA-109, Vinton, LA 70668). A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
