Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Jean Chiles of Vivian, Louisiana, who passed away at the age of 85, on November 3, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Weaver and Laura Weaver; her son Al "Poonie" Chiles II; her granddaughter Morgan Chiles; her great grandchild Jasper Fud McCormick; and her sisters, Frances Weaver, Mary Hinson, Bertie Mae Cobb and Shirley Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband Lynn Chiles of Vivian; her children, Mark Chiles (Denise) of McLeod, TX, Celeste Caldwell (Boe) of Vivian, LA, Amos Chiles (Amber) of McLeod, TX, Ruth McRae (Steve) of Vivian, LA, Rebecca Chiles and Beth of Dallas; her daughter-in-law Rochelle Chiles of Vivian, LA.; her grandchildren, K'Lyne Owens (Wes), Kase Chiles (Meghan), Bailey Downs (Colby), Sarah McCormick (Kyle), Anna Shelton (Cody), Leah Grant (Jordan), Mollie Chiles (John), Mallory Driskell (Troy), Emma Chiles, Thomas McRae (Becca), Daniel McRae (Molly), John McRae (Madi) and Conley Poole (Ben); and her great grandchildren, Hagen (Audrey), Grayson, Emmalyn, Maggie, Tucker, Sawyer, Allie, Herby K, Claudette, Samuel, Julia, Will, Nick, Olivia, Avery of Anleigh, TL, Adaline, David, Ruby Claire, Wrigley and Lainey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (311 N Pine St, Vivian, LA 71082). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hands and Feet Ministry at FBC Vivian or to Samaritan's Purse.
