With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carrie Burney Dempsey of Vivian, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid adieu to Carrie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carrie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Pat Dempsey; and her father Dean Burney. She is survived by: her mother Beatrice Burney; her sister Amanda White (Tim); and her children, Nick Denison (Monica), Emily King (Ryan), Robert Dempsey (Sonya), Johnny Dempsey (Gina) and Susan Dempsey. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
