He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Brents and Birkie Brents; his brother Ronnie Brents; and his son Jeffrey Brents. He is survived by: his wife Rita Brents; his daughter Allison Jetton; his grandsons, Mason Spradley, Stewart Sloan and Miles Harkness; and his great grandchildren, William and Logan Spradley.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please honor David with a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
