He was predeceased by: his father William Young; his wife Gladys Doucet Young; his mother Sarah Margaret Young; his siblings, Dewey Young, Bill Young, Preston Young, Edith Duhon, Opal Terry and Dessie Landry; his sons-in-law, Frank Wynn and Dickey Alexander; and his grandchild Shannon Young.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Parrish (Les) of Vivian, LA, Faye Wynn of Shreveport and Larry Young (Yvonne) of Pittsburg, TX; his sister Jewel Megli of Clinton, OK; his grandchildren, Bailey Jones, Carly Parrish, Kelly Higgins, Brandi Liles, Kyle Young and Cori Childress; his great grandchildren, Jentry, Wade Jones, Gunnar, Chloe Liles, Noah, Peyton Childress, Garrett Young, Jakeb Bracken, Hannah Betancourt and Caden Higgins; and his pet Leroy. He is also survived by 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
