He was predeceased by: his parents, John Weldon Heard, Sr. and Clovis Heard Connell of Vivian; and his sister Ann Heard Bonner of Vivian. He is survived by: his children, John Weldon Heard III (Melinda) of Texas, Jennifer Heard of Minden, Stephanie Matthews (Larry) of Bossier City and Christopher Heard of New Mexico; his grandchildren, Rachel Upchurch, Geoffrey Heard, Lydia Heard, Ethan Heard, Sabrina Heard, Isabelle Heard and Chezley Heard; and his sister Faye Roberson (Steve) of Vivian.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel (1107 S Pine St, Vivian, LA 71082). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
