He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luther Lazarus and May Albin Lazarus; his siblings, Joyce Lofton, Helen Buche, Raynelle Matherne, Eloise Savoy, Betty Marie Armstrong, Peggy Jones, Carl, Rayford, Richard, Bobby and Guy; his wife Janice Gaudin Lazarus; his children, Milissa Lazarus Reyna (Juan), Mamie Lazarus Moffett (Sean) and Gerald W. Lazarus Jr. (Tonya); his grandchildren, Tory Lazarus, Courtney Hunt (Luke), Cody Moffett (Hailie), Breanna Moffett (Todd) and Tripp Lazarus; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Easton Lazarus, Alanna Faye, Theo and Jaxson Hunt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church (9768 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA 70785). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery (24063 LA-16, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A reception was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church (9768 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA 70785).
