She was predeceased by: her husband Charles J. Nelson Sr.; her son Charles J. Nelson, Jr.; her parents, Saphronia "Fronie" Odom and Walter Odom; and her siblings, Barbara Odom, Emma "Bo" Varnado, Walter Odom, Jr., James "Bud" Odom, Charles "Chas" Odom and Alan "Puddin'.
She is survived by: her son Ronald "Ronnie" Nelson; her daughter-in-law Mona Nelson; her grandchildren, Christopher Nelson, Kipp Nelson, Vance Wendell, Heather Nelson and Alaina Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Steven Busby, Jr., Oliver Nelson, Adyson Wendell, Isabella Wendell and Oaklynn Wendell.
