We are sad to announce that, on May 4, 2026, at the age of 83, Ruffin Wilson Griffin Jr. of Walker, Louisiana, born in Houston, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruffin Wilson Griffin Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Shilling Griffin; his parents, Ruffin Griffin, Sr. and Vera Lanier Griffin; his brother Harrell Griffin; and his granddaughter Brittany Leann Gilmore.

He is survived by: his daughters, Alaina Gilmore and Debra McGaughey (Jimmy); his grandsons, Caleb Gilmore (Sophie), Joshua Gilmore (Nikayla) and Hilton McGaughey (Jourdan); his great grandchildren, Sawyer Gilmore and Leanna Gilmore; his brother Lewis Griffin (Dot); and his sister-in-law Karen Griffin. He is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
