She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Charlesina Thorton; her children, Aubrey Spears, Stacey Dorsey, Edward Dorsey III (Alzena), Tara Dorsey, Ashann Dorsey, Mary Knight, Cindy Dorsey and Suzette Dorsey; her grandchildren, Nicholls Spears Sr. (Christy), Nicole Spears, Keenan Boyd, Kourtney Boyd, Rodney Spears, Candace Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Dajanae Henry, Jaeson Dorsey, Jaelon Dorsey, Jakeira Fauclon, Aubrey Spears, Jasmine Maldonado, Jaylan Wilkes, Keisha Dorsey and Melvin Knight; her husband Edward Dorsey; and her daughters, Julia Johnson and Tiphery Grimes. She was also cherished by 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home (3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
