He was predeceased by: his father Herman Michael Jacques Sr.; and his grandparents, Octave, Ione Encalarde, John and Althea Jacques.
He is survived by: his mother Anna Encalarde-Jacques; his children, Nakita Simmons, Herman III, Leland, Saint Bernard and Treme Jacques; his sibling Octave Paul Jacques, II; his stepsister Shomari Hill; and his godchild Kyle Duncan. He is also survived by four nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
