It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Odessa Gene Duckworth Sr. of Washington, Louisiana, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee David and Bernice Archer Duckworth; his wife Mercedes Lewis Duckworth; and his granddaughter Janelle Nicole Davidson. He is survived by : his daughters, Jacquelyn Duckworth Davidson of New Orleans and Melanie Patrice Duckworth of Reno; and his sister Elouise Kensey of Dallas. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
