She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarphy Benoit and Mildred Guidry; her former husband Nolan Trahan; her husband Wilbert Trahan; her stepfather Elmer Walker; her daughter Regina Abshire; her son-in-law Rodney Trahan; and her great grandchild Olivia Abshire.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Trahan (Joann), Carla Trahan, Shannon Trahan (Cindy) and Paul Trahan (Rachelle); her sister Annette Chaisson (Claude); her son-in-law Thomas Abshire; and her grandchildren, Josh, Victoria, Hannah, Kayla, Austin and Jack. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Hixson Funeral Home (412 E South St, Welsh, LA 70591). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church (209 N Adams St, Welsh, LA 70591). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Hixson Funeral Home (412 E South St, Welsh, LA 70591). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Oaklawn Cemetery (501 Beaufort St, Welsh, LA 70591).
