With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Gates of West Monroe, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 7, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walker and Susie Walker; her husband Raymond Gates; and her siblings, W. A. Walker, James Alfred Walker, Aubrey Ray Walker and Zelma Fay Walker.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lenee Mahgoub (Amerr Adel Mahgoub); her grandchildren, Bassel Mahgoub (Amber), Faris Mahgoub (Lauren), Samer Mahgoub (Ann-Marie) and Sarah Hamby (Tyler); and her great grandchildren, Alara Brynn Mahgoub, Myles Raymond Mahgoub, Rylee Rae Hamby, Georgia Mae Hamby and Ryker Ratcliff.
