She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Hubbard and Ivy Hubbard; her children, Terry, Andrew Whitaker and Joy Thompson; her brothers, Thomas, Gene, Marshall and Jerry Hubbard; and her granddaughter Tabitha Whitaker.
She is survived by: her husband John Albert Whitaker, Jr.; her children, John Albert Whitaker, III, Dwight Kalvin Whitaker, Sr. (Janet), Penny Gayle Hancock (Mark) and Dana Marie Palmer; and her siblings, Patricia Cobb, Pat Hubbard, Sharon Little and Dale Hubbard (Blanche). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church (61 New Chapel Hill Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
