Effie Mae Anding Obituary
We announce the death of Effie Mae Anding of West Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 87. Effie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Anding; her parents, May Garsee and Joseph Garsee; her siblings, Shirley Coates, Connie Barfield and James Garsee; her granddaughter Tashia Moses; and her great grandchild Landen Garsee.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Rowland; her children, Dennis Garsee, Sr. (Lori), Teresa Anding, Tina Anding (Marty) and Tony Anding; her stepdaughters, Becky Loftin and Dina Staggs; and her grandchildren, Shannon, Jeffrey, Dennis Garsee, Jr., Austin, Amanda, Stephanie, Maeson, Stormy, Tori, Paisley, Remington of Lindsey, AJ and Jacob. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home (300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe (300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291).
