He was predeceased by : his parents, Franklin Harper and Georgia Harper; his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Harper, Donald "Brub" Harper, Mildred Brownell and Bamma "Sam" Crowell; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Kelly, Linton Hynum, Maxwell Brown and Waldon Crowell.
He is survived by : his siblings, Dewayne "Doodle" Harper (Ellen), Mae Kelly, Margie Brown and Barbara Hynum; his siblings-in-law, Malcolm Brownell and JoAnn Harper; his children, Donna Hatten (Ricky), Brad Harper and Courtney Murtagh (Trey); his grandchildren, Dylan McGuffee (Mary), Shelby McGuffee (Bailey), Harper Murtagh and Virginia Murtagh; his great grandchildren, Landon, Malley, Ella Kyle, Toby, Malachi and Laird; and his pet Rudy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
