It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Arlo Head of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Hodge, Louisiana, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Head and Arlo Head; his brother Benjamin L. Head; and his in-laws, Marie and Dwight Vines.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Vines; his children, Michael Head (Jen), Angela Fry, Susan Avery (Bobby) and Robert Head (Lisa); his children-in-law, John Fry, Shae Chapman and Sarah Furchtenicht; his grandchildren, Courtney Moore (Anthony), Brendan Head (Brian), Meghan Reichenback (Cole), Keigan Head (Taylor), Jonathan Avery, Nathaniel Avery and Kyle Beasley (Mallory); his great grandchildren, Paul Michael Howard, Haleigh Beth Head and Liam Reichenbach; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Goodrich, Donna Vines and Dwight "Bo" Vines; Megan Stampley. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fair Park Baptist Church (4412 Whites Ferry Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fairpark Baptist Church (4412 Whites Ferry Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291).
