Wheelis of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Eros, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2025 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Collinsworth (Effie Monique Wood Wheelis) and Mavaline Costin Wheelis; his spouse Don Wheelis; and his siblings, Otis Ferrell Wheelis "Sonny Man", J. W. Wheelis "Dank", I, C. Wheelis "Junior", Aubry Wheelis, Ava Crowell, Maggie Wheelis and Sybil Wheelis.
He is survived by: his brother Bobby Ray Wheelis (Sylvia); his daughter-in-law Peggy Wheelis; his grandsons, Lee Wheelis (Jennifer) and Brandon Wheelis (Erica); and his great grandchildren, Brayden Wheelis, Connor Wheelis, Emma Wheelis, Luke Wheelis and Bryn Wheelis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
