With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Murphree of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Monroe, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 77. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert E. Murphree and Eloyce Gray Murphree. He is survived by: his wife Julia Denton Murphree; his children, Scott A. Murphree and Nicole L. Murphree; his grandsons, Landon S. Murphree and Tanner C. Jackson; and his siblings, Terry L. Murphree (Donna), Darlene C. Adams and Elicia J. Huff.
