He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Adam Kirkland; his parents, Florence Kirkland and H. H. Kirkland; and his sister Joan Middleton. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lynn Kirkland; his children, Jerry Michael Kirkland (Brenda) and Kristy Kirkland Singleton (John); his daughter-in-law Amber Kirkland; and his grandchildren, Leslie Vanderberg (Morna), Emily Eves, Allie Eves, Ella Kirkland, Alaina Nash (Chance), Lindsey Rhinehart (Seth), Hunter Canterberry (Reagan), Alanta King (Zak), Kaitlyn Kirkland and Ty Kirkland. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
