She was predeceased by: her husband John L. Carpenter; her children, Vicki Lynn Carpenter and Dennis Ray Carpenter; her parents, D. L. George and Mary Etta George; and her brothers, James George and Johnny George.
She is survived by: her children, John Paul Carpenter (Robin), Denise Pixley (Larry) and Terry Carpenter (Tina); and her sister Annie Sanderson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
