He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leon Peters and Amy Louise Hosea Peters; his wife Patricia Peters; and his brothers, Jimmy Peters, Charles Peters and Shelby Peters.

He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Shannon Peters), Gary (Tracey Peters) and Mark (Jaime Peters); his grandchildren, Lacey Peters, Lauren Peters, Blake Peters, Brad Peters, Kayln Peters, Kody Allen, Emma Peters, Audra Peters, Anna Claire Peters and Carson Balch; and his close friend Dee Roberts of Cove. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
