Laverne Sharp Lasyone Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2025, at the age of 90, Laverne Sharp Lasyone (West Monroe, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Laverne Sharp may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Sharp Sr. (Bay Miller Crowsen Sharp) and Karen Lynn Lasyone Cox (Jerry Lasyone). She is survived by: her children, Theresa Lasyone, Joey Lasyone, Terry Lasyone and Gary Lasyone; and her sister Yvonne McWhorter. She is also survived by six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hasley Cemetery (1500 Arkansas Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291).
