Lois Marie Owen Obituary
We announce the death of Lois Marie Owen in West Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 87. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Lawson Awlras; her husband Thurman Owen, Sr.; her brothers, Glen Taylor, Lawson Taylor and Grady Taylor; her stepdaughter Debbie Michaels; and her uncle L. E. Bailey.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Louise Taylor; her children, Penny Cook (David), Sue Buhler, Donna Nelson, Thurman Owen Junior (Donna), Rickie Owen (Heather) and Larry Owen (Naomi); her stepdaughter Wanda Morrow (Steve); her brother Rickie Taylor; her pet Mary Jane; her cousin Udie Lee Davis; and her aunt Cathy Bailey. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Griffin F. H. (911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, LA 71291). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Garden (451 LA-151, Calhoun, LA 71225).
