It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Katherine Turner (West Monroe, Louisiana), born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Melissa may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, June Lazarus Turner and Gideon Carl Turner, Jr.; and her brother John Charles Turner. She is survived by: her children, Herbert Harrell and Nikki Sproles; and her brother Gidion Carl Turner III. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
