He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Deana Knighten Morehead; his children, Eric Alexander Morehead, Matthew Malvin Morehead (Christy), Richard Allen Morehead Jr. (Debra) and Michelle Haney; and his sister Cathy M. McGuire (Aryon). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
