He is survived by: his wife Doris Bennett Garrett; his daughters, Amy Hanson (Hank) and Patience Garrett Jones (Byron); his siblings, Vickie LeBrun, Raymond B. Garrett and Ann Harper; his grandchildren, Katherine Norris, Heath Hanson, Quinton Pharr, Alayna Sanders and Halli Hanson; his great grandchildren, Weston Hanson, Willow Hanson, Cecil Pharr and Wrenley Hanson; his aunts, Cricket Porter and Susie Merle Doggett; and his uncle Buddy Nall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
