She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Young and Rose Young; her husband Robert Edward McGowen; and her siblings, Jean Furr Edwards, Velda "Bell" Berry, Ann Chevalier Taylor, Dorothy "Dot" Evans, John Young, David "Bud" Young and Eva Lou "Fro" Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Bobby" (Jodie), Rodney (Marjorie) and Tracey (Robert); her grandchildren, Jacob, Mallory, Christian (Zach), Gabrielle, Nathaniel, Landon, David and Diana (Ty); and her great grandchildren, Henry, Rawlings and Riggins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (215 Mt Vernon Church Rd, West Monroe, LA 71292). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
