He is survived by: his wife Elvena Rowell Spears; his children, Samuel Spears, Jr. (Shonda) of Jena, Charlotte Grissom (Danny) of Bastrop, Tessy Sellar of West Monroe, Clifton Spears of Rayville, Kim Lively (Gary) of West Monroe and John Trahan Jr. (Stacey) of West Monroe; his friends, Bonnie Pritchard and Bill Pylant of Many; and his caregiver Renee. He is also survived by ses 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
