It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Averette in West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Calhoun, Louisiana, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Averette, Sr.; her parents, Amos Jordan and Annie Jordan; and her siblings, Carl Jordan, J. C. Jordan, Wyans Jordan and Florine McDaniel.
She is survived by: her sons, Herman Averette, Jr. (Lauren), James Averette and Johnny Averette (Paula); and her grandchildren, Tammy, Christopher, Madison, Natalie, Toby, Shelly and Charrie. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
