He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Tanner and Pauline Pilgreen Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Ann Tanner; his sons, Wayne Warren Tanner (Krista) and Brian Wesley Tanner (Leslie); and his grandchildren, Hayden Tanner, Katie Tanner, Madison Tanner, Zoey Smith and Dylan Roberts.

In lieu of flowers memorials in honor of Wayne may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
