He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Barber, Sr. and Josie Mae Barber (Jo); his sisters, Pamaler McZeal, Ruby Barber and Emma Gibson; his aunts, Shirley Shepherd and Bettie Wilkins; and his pet Sheba.
He is survived by: his siblings, Reverend Craig Barber (Daisy), Brother Cornelius Barber, Jr. (Anita), Tammy Barber LaDay (Carey), Brittany Wilkins and Brenda Barber; his uncle Darryll Palms; his brother-in-law Joseph McZeal; his friend Wendy Quinones; James Watkins (Miriam). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stevens' Funeral Home (823 N Shattuck St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
