It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elda Pitre Vedros of Westwego, Louisiana, born in Cut Off, Louisiana, who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramo Pitre and Pavolia Pitre; her siblings, Gilmo Pitre and Melva Orgeron; and her nephew Gillon Orgeron.
She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Vedros; her granddaughter Heather Chaisson; her great grandchild Carmen Coll; her godchild Robbie Pitre; and her sibling's children, Cindy Williams, Holly Bouzigard, Kim Pitre and Peter Orgeron.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (17980 W Main St, Galliano, LA 70354). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Cheramie Cemetery.
