He is survived by: his wife Josephine Whitley Turner; his child Necole Grant; his stepchildren, James and Belinda Edwards; and his siblings, Gene Spears, Janice Edge and Joycelyn Spears. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
