She was predeceased by: her daughter Loretta Young Jones; her grandson Robert James Young, Sr.; her parents, Robert Singleton, Sr. and Odessa Franklin Singleton; and her siblings, Ernest Franklin, Solomon Jones, James Jones, Jr., Robert "Rock" Singleton, Jr., Dorothy J. Packnett and Mary Inez Singleton.
She is survived by: her children, Genel Young Collins (Melvin), James Lee Young, Jr. and Anthony Miguel Harris; her grandchildren, Michael Antonio Bridgewater (Triniece), Jasma Lee Young (Danielle), Terell Lee Smith, Joshua Allen Smith, Raheem DeAndre'Young, James Lee Young III, Semaj and Jada Young; and her siblings, Eugene Singleton (Sharon), Betty Singleton and Thelma Singleton Moore. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 4 beloved dogs, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Davis Mortuary-Marrero (6820 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Davis Mortuary Service (6920 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072).
