He is survived by: his wife Rachel Melancon Bateman; his parents, Dan R. Bateman and Lisa S. Bateman of Wilson; and his siblings, Rachel Sumrall of Franklinton, Ouachita Bateman of Pride and Ethan Bateman of Wilson. He is also survived by niece, nephew and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins.
