She was predeceased by: her husband Leroy Maxey; her siblings, J. E. Franks, Dewey Franks, Iola Higdon and Mattie Lea Armstrong; and her stepgranddaughter Allison Mayes.
She is survived by: her sons, Donnie (Sheral) and Lynn (Ann); her granddaughter Kristie Norris (Kevin); and her sister Mavis Bruce. She is also survived by two great grandchildren,; three great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that memorial gifts be made to the United Baptist Church.
