He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Barber Sweat; his parents, Clem Lee Sweat and Gertrude Jenkins Sweat; his sister Nelda Williams (John T. Williams); his sister-in-law Louise Clark Sweat; his daughter-in-law Cindy Miller Sweat; and his grandson Justin Matthew Sweat.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Sweat and Michael D. Sweat (Debbie); his grandchildren, Cody, Allison, Anna, Lydia, Megan and Olivia; and his brother Harvel Lee Sweat. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
