With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John James Moore of Winnfield, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Odell Moore and Lela Mae Burnum Moore; and his siblings, Willie Edwin Moore, Harvey Ray Moore, Joyce M. Walker and Raymond Moore.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janice Paddie, Robert "Bobby" Moore, Jewel Moore and Ola Courson; his close friends, Alan and Ashley Turner; and his pet Sheldon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Southern Funeral Home (202 E Lafayette St, Winnfield, LA 71483). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Yankee Springs Cemetery.
