He is survived by: his children, Kermit Mixon "Mike" Simmons, Jr. of Winnfield, Susan Mador (Robert) of Oak Harbor and Alfred Simmons (Lesley) of Winnfield; his grandchildren, Megan Geter (Jay) of Madison, Daniel Simmons of Winnfield, David Simmons of Baton Rouge and Micah Simmons of Winnfield; his siblings-in-law, Grace Simmons of Shreveport and Philip Underwood (Jerri Lynn) of Ruston; his friends, Robert Dawkins of Ruston, Charles Salley of Shreveport, Skip Bell of Birmingham and Mickey; Olivia Geter of Madison, Mississippi.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Winn Parish Dugdemona High-Twelve Scholarship Fund or a favorite charity.
