He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel "Sandy" Verret; and his children, Denise Thompson and Roger Verret. He is survived by: his son Nicholas Verret, Jr. (Angela); his son-in-law Bill Thompson; and his grandchildren, Micah Verret (Jennifer), Matthew Verret (Stephanie), Dr. Meredeth Street (Dalton), Stephanie Young (Corey), Brittany Osborn (Steve), Alex Thompson, Jennifer Johnson, Tina Thompson and Rebecca Crowe. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield Saturday (202 E Lafayette St, Winnfield, LA 71483). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
