She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Carpenter and Athenese Holton Carpenter; her husband Aaron Bratton; her son Aaron Harold Bratton; and her brother Donald Carpenter.
She is survived by: her son Gilbert Bratton (Susan) of Flippin, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Casey, Cody, Kenny and Brandy; her brother Richard Carpenter; and her caregiver Debbie Hayes. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
