She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and May Smith; her husband Albert Bertis Croom, Jr.; and her brothers, Rusty Sego and Loyd Sego.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Croom, Donna Thigpen (Steven), Denise Bath, Diane Mistler (Pete), Albert B. Croom, III (Carol), Tracey Jones (Ken), Dwan Smith (Stacy) and John Croom (Michael); and her siblings, Gary Sego, Michael Sego and Janet Sego Lee. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren plus a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jigger Apostolic Church (609 North E. E. Wallace Blvd., JIGGER, LA 71334). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
