He was predeceased by: his parents, Mavis Marshall and William Marshall; his wife Florence Ann Gillespie Marshall; his siblings, W. C. Marshall, Orville Ray Marshall and Shirley Marshall Faulkner; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Faulkner and Rod McElrath.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Jean Marshall Funderburg (James C. Funderburg) of Waterproof; his grandchildren, Kristen Sutton VandeVen (Donnie) of Newellton, Alissa Sutton Abrahm (Matt) of Monroe and Aaron Keith Sutton; his great grandchildren, Anna Camille VandeVen of Winston-Salem, NC, Katie Marie VandeVen, Donald Elliot VandeVen of Newellton, Parker Eugene Russell, Sutton Grace Abrahm of Monroe, Alexis Sutton LaCaze (Dakota) of Calhoun, Madison Paige Sutton and Christopher Aaron Sutton of Gilbert; his great great grandchildren, AnnaLeise Michelle LaCaze of Calhoun and Waylon Brooks LaCaze of Calhoun; and his sister Mattie Jo McElrath of Edinburg, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Youngs Community Memorial (4502 Front St, Winnsboro, LA 71295). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home (4502 Front St, Winnsboro, LA 71295).
