In loving memory of Kandy Gilbert of Winnsboro, Louisiana, born in Monroe, Louisiana, who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 65. She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Rudolph "Rudy" Gilbert; her aunt Margaret "Marg" Russell; her uncle Howard Russell; and her grandparents, Johnny, Eva Gilbert, Tom and Maggie Searcy.
She is survived by: her mother Sadie Searcy Gilbert of Winnsboro, LA; her brother Tommy Gilbert (Shelia) of Winnsboro, LA; her sibling's children, Cassie Dudden (Brad), Maggie Warner (Austin) and Alex Gilbert of Baton Rouge, LA; her close friend Donna Hitt of Winnsboro, LA; her sibling's children, Chloe Warner, Sophie Warner, Zoe Warner, Josie Warner, Preslee Dudden, Aubree Dudden, Sammie Warner, Brad Dudden and Austin Warner; her uncles, Bob Gilbert and Charles Gilbert; and her friend Paul Work.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home (4502 Front St, Winnsboro, LA 71259). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Youngs Community Memorial (4502 Front St, Winnsboro, LA 71259).
To commemorate Ms. Kandy's legacy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to River Cities Humane Society for cats.
