She was predeceased by: her stepfather Jessie Carter; her siblings, Greg Carter and Mona Smith; and her close friend Rhonda Jewell (Joanne Lapankas). She is survived by: her husband Casey Silkowski of Winnsboro; her daughter Bridgett Harper (Harold Eugene Harper, III) of Delhi; her siblings, Kathy Pearson Davis (Freddie) of Zwolle, Sherri Jones (Edward) of Winnsboro and Tony Carter (Denise) of Gonzales; and her friend Molly Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dennard First National Funeral Home (6637 Main St, Winnsboro, LA 71295). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
