In loving memory of Ray D. Tatum Sr. of Winnsboro, Louisiana, born in Ferriday, Louisiana, who departed this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 82. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ray may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Tatum, Sr. and Mary Rozier Tatum; and his brothers, Marvin Tatum, Jr. and Bruce Tatum. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tatum of Winnsboro, LA; his children, Ray Tatum, Jr. (Tracie) of Downsville, LA, Terri Robertson (Darrell) of Bossier City, LA and DLynn Miracle (Mark) of Argyle, TX; and his brother Bill Tatum of Cleveland, MS.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church (289 Taylor St., Winnsboro, LA 71295). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Jennifer Robertson Scholarship Foundation at Louisiana College.
