With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Caldwell of Wisner, Louisiana, born in Gilbert, Louisiana, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. James Ira Caldwell; her parents, Robert Walters and Myrtis Monell Hill Walters; her grandsons, Raymond Lee Rushing, Jr. and James Clinton Rushing; her siblings, Lloyd Walters and Freda Nell Poole; and her son-in-law Raymond Rushing, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Patten (Kenneth), Billy Caldwell (Dianne), Alice Jeanette Rushing and Sheryl Ratcliff (Bobby); and her siblings, Lynn Walters, Cindy Gunn, Judy Lively and Audrey Caldwell. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 27 great, grandchildren, 22 great, great, grandchildren plus a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
